The Town of Lake George is looking for a Comptroller. Annual salary-negotiable up to $50,000. plus benefits (commensurate with experience). The Comptroller is responsible for all Town financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, payroll and related benefit programs, cash management, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, legal compliance (GAAP & GASB as well as local, state and federal requirements), internal controls, debt management, grants accounting and insurance, AUD reports, developing and updating financial policies and procedures, administration of Town/Joint/Village Occupancy Tax as well as Youth Commission Sponsorships, advertising and scholarship programs. The Comptroller answers to the Supervisor & Town Board and works closely with Department Heads to provide information as needed.
A successful candidate will have strong analytical, management and implementation skills, the ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization. The ability to manage multiple programs and meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written commnunication is required along with the ability to analyze diverse facts and develop clear and concise reports.
