The Comptroller for the Town of Lake George is responsible for all Town financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, payroll & related benefit programs, cash management, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, legal compliance (GAAP & GASB as well as local, state & federal requirements), internal controls, debt management, grants accounting & insurance, AUD reports, developing & updating financial policies & procedures, administration of the Town & Joint Town/Village Occupancy Tax as well as Youth Commission sponsorships, advertising & scholarship programs. The Comptroller answers to the Supervisor & Town Board & works closely with Department Heads to provide information as needed, & supervises the Deputy Comptroller. A successful candidate will have strong analytical, management & implementation skills, the ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy & organization. The ability to manage multiple programs & meet deadlines, to collaborate, to analyze diverse facts & develop clear & concise reports & recommendations is essential.  Excellent oral & written communication is required. The Town of Lake George is accepting applications for Lifeguard positions at Shepard Park Beach.

Qualifications: Valid Driver’s license, Adult CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and Lifeguard Training Certification. All certifications must be current prior to employment

Payrate: $10.50 per hour

Coach for Middle League Baseball Program

The Town of Lake George is seeking an individual to coach the Middle League Baseball Program summer of 2016 as an Independent Contractor.  The position pays $500 for the season, does not create an employee/employer relationship and does not include benefits.  Appropriate background and reference checks will be required.  Please complete a Hold Harmless Statement & Release as well as an Employment Application (for informational purposes only) and return to Wendy Baird, Comptroller, 20 Old Post Rd.
