Stormwater Management Program
The Town and Village have developed and have been imlpementing their Stormwater Management Program(s) based on the requirements established under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Phase II (NPDES Phase II) regulations for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4). EPA’s NPDES Phase II Stormwater Management program provides a framework for improving the quality of stormwater discharges to waterways through the identification of six minimum control measures (MCM’s). The Town and Village’s joint Program identifies stormwater management activities that address the NPDES Phase II program’s six MCM’s, which are: public education and outreach; public participation and involvement; illicit discharge detection and elimination; construction site runoff control; post-construction site runoff control; pollution prevention and good housekeeping measures.
