Camp Director – Lake George Youth Commission Summer Program is looking for a camp director for our 6 week long day camp program. A director must be able to plan, direct and coordinate a comprehensive day camp program, including program activities, field trips, special events and all other camp activities; be able to hire, train, supervise and evaluate camp staff; prepare and administer day camp budget; update and submit annual camp written safety plan to Department of Health and to insure camp compliance with all Department of Health regulations prior to and during the six week program. Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree; must be 21 or older; must have clearance through NYS OCFS Central Register of Abuse & Maltreatment, Submission of Prospective Children’s Camp Director Certified Statement Relative to the Conviction of a Crime or Pending Criminal Action, must have experience working with youth and experience with day camp/overnight camp staff member preferred.
