The Comptroller’s office prepares and executes the Town Budget; maintains accounting of all Town receipts and disbursements, and audits claims. The Comptroller’s office is responsible for monthly financial reports to the town board as well as the preparation of the Annual Update Document (AUD) for the New York State Comptroller’s Office.
The Comptroller’s Office implements a community driven scholarship program for Youth Commission registration fees.
The Comptroller’s office is the employee and agency contact for payroll, New York State Retirement, New York State Deferred Compensation and Unemployment Compensation. Additionally the office maintains employee’s personnel records and coordinates with Warren County Civil Service and the Personnel Commissioners to address personnel issues and other human resource topics.
Occupancy Tax Grants
The Comptroller’s office provides clerical and administrative assistance for the Joint Occupancy Tax Committee and works with the Town Board and Supervisor’s office to provide and process Town Occupancy Tax grant applications and awards.
