Financial

The Comptroller’s office prepares and executes the Town Budget; maintains accounting of all Town receipts and disbursements, and audits claims.  The Comptroller’s office is responsible for monthly financial reports to the town board as well as the preparation of the Annual Update Document (AUD) for the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

Personnel

The Comptroller’s office is the employee and agency contact for payroll, New York State Retirement, New York State Deferred Compensation and Unemployment Compensation. Additionally the office maintains employee’s personnel records and coordinates with Warren County Civil Service and the Personnel Commissioners to address personnel issues and other human resource topics.

Youth Commission

The Comptroller’s office supports the Youth Commission Summer Day Camp as well as seasonal Youth Commission sports programs and events, lending clerical and administrative assistance to both. The Comptroller’s office coordinates background checks for Youth Commission Volunteers and implements a community driven scholarship program for registration fees. The Comptroller’s office also assists the Recreation Director with coordination of team sponsorships and outfield signage requests.

Occupancy Tax Grants

The Comptroller’s office provides clerical and administrative assistance for the Joint Occupancy Tax Committee and works with the Town Board and Supervisor’s office to provide and process Town Occupancy Tax grant applications and awards.
