American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance

Since late 2016, the Buildings and Grounds staff has been working with the Town Planning Department, the Warren County Planning Department and the Adirondack-Glens Falls Transportation Council on developing an ADA Transition Plan, which will identify deficiences/impediments for ADA access in/at public buildings and on/at pedestrian facilities. The plan with also detail suggested improvements to be made to address these deficiencies, and potential costs and time frames for the improvements, in order to adhere to the ADA. The Town has since adopted a “Grievance Policy” and a Town “ADA Policy”, both of which are below.
If you have a complaint about a public building or pedestrian facility within the Town in regards to ADA compliance, please call ADA Coordinator Dan Barusch or Director of Buildings and Grounds Jim Martino at 518-668-5722.
